Other Comments: Poppy is a lovely girl and affectionate when feeling relaxed. She is not keen on young children and has snapped in her former home so we are looking for an adult only home or with older dog savvy teens. She has however been fine with fosterers children aged 11 and 13. Poppy likes to be in charge with other dogs and may snap at over friendly dogs on walks but has coped without major issue in foster with 4 others..
New Owners: We are looking for experienced owners to give this sweet girl a second chance. Some knowledge of dog behaviour would be an advantage and a confident but kind leader is needed. In the right hands she will be a delightful and loving companion.
Fosterers Comment: Poppy has been in foster with us now for 2 weeks and we are so pleased with her. Living with 5 others in foster has really helped Poppy with her level of tolerance towards other dogs and her behaviour has really improved. We have found her very biddable and obedient and easy to check if she does get grumpy with another dog. Sometimes you can see she gets a bit worried about what you are going to ask of her but a few words of reassurance and she is fine again. We have seen no defensive behaviour at all and she is very loving and playful now she has relaxed. She responds very well to respectful human authority and will make the right people a very loving companion .
